Cedar hot tub – Cedar is a great wood to build hot tubs. It has a rich color and is very hard, making it waterproof. It also has a nice smell to it. Cedar is also in log cabins and rustic homes, so it is considered a very distinctive type of wood. It’s part of the reason why cedar hot tubs are so popular. The timber itself is not cheap, but it lasts a long time and with a single clear spot, it is ideal in an environment like a ski lodge.
Building with cedar hot tub is not much different than building any other type of wood. You can craft a lot of different things with the cedar wood, including decks and outer body of a hot tub. To create a cedar hot tub exterior, you must create slats about 1 1/2 inches wide. These can be attached to a simple round frame that is built to house the pool, hot tub shell, created by fiberglass. The deck is built around the hot tub and built just like all other tires.
Building cedar hot tub frame, use 4 by 4 boards and 2-by-four boards. Build your frame so it encloses the hot tub in any shape or design you like. There are really no limits to what you can do, in addition to the space you have. You can secure the frame pieces to build them into sections, with bolts or braces. For a real traditional look and feel, you can also use wooden dowels and glue. Just drill a hole the size of dowels into the wood, and insert the plugs to fasten the frame together.
